Job Description:

Job Summary-Managing and overseeing all GMG operations on and off premises while maximizing the GMG department revenues, minimizing the GMG department’s expenses as well as enhancing both internal and external guest relations and service levels. Responsible for providing outstanding guest service via Maitre D, controlling restaurant seating flow and assisting all GMG Staff as needed.   

Duties and Responsibilities-Greet guest in a friendly, prompt and courteous manner.  Seat guest, distribute menus and describe daily specials.  Control guest flow in restaurant by monitoring reservation.  Answer the telephone and assist caller.  Create upcoming reservation logs.  Remain aware of level of service being provided and assist where possible and necessary to assure quality service.  Maintain neat and clean appearance of uniform.  Train all front of the house staff on wine, drinks, fine dining.  Monitor waiting area for any possible service needs.  Monitor and resolve guest complaints.  Provide excellent guest experiences perform table visits.  Monitor and resolve employee concerns and complaints.  Interview and confer with F&B Manager and F&B Director when hiring new staff.  Overseeing GMG Departmental Operations.  Perform monthly beverage and smallware Inventories.  Perform GMG scheduling, and be flexible in work hours.  Control labor cost by observation of business activity and review of activity levels of comparable historical periods.  Ensure that all F&B and GMG SOPs as well as Company policies are being adhered to. Implement creative strategies to increase revenues and decrease expenses.  Ensure all cleanliness standards are adhering to SNHD A Grade Standards.  Coordinate opening and closing procedures and floor plans.  Up-Sell menus, concepts & ideas.  Develop recipes & menus for all beverages and obtain approval from F&B Manager and F&B Director.  Suggest marketing for the GMG and obtain approval from F&B Manager and F&B Director.  Demonstrate team-building experience and promote an atmosphere of teamwork.  Lead by example; build morale and spirit; participative management style; abilities to inspire, train, and develop people for promotion; experience communicating, training, and managing multi-lingual staffs; experience training and cross training employees.  Instill a guest service and "can-do" attitude in all employees; coach employees how to resolve and de-escalate conflicts; maintain a calm, organized approach; other duties as assigned.  Conduct daily Pre-Shift meetings with Staff.
